Set up Auto ads on your site

Before you start

Make sure that your site is listed on your Ads page. If not, you'll need to add the site to your sites list before you set up Auto ads.

  2. Click Ads.
  3. In the table of all your sites, click Edit Edit next to your site. Your site opens in the ad settings preview.
Tip: You can use the preview to try out different ad settings before your Auto ads go live.
  4. Under 'Ad settings', turn on Auto ads.
  5. (Optional) Click Overlay formats to turn off specific overlay formats.
  6. (Optional) Click In-Page formats to:

  8. (Optional) Click Page exclusions to exclude specific pages from showing Auto ads.

  9. Click Apply to site.
  10. Choose your save option:
    • Click Apply now and then Save, to immediately apply your Auto ads settings to your site.

      Or

    • Click Run experiment first and then Run experiment, to test your Auto ads settings.

AdSense will run an experiment on 50% of your site's traffic for 90 days. The experiment will finish when we've collected enough data. Learn more about Auto ads experiments.

Note: Make sure that you've placed the AdSense code on every page across your site. It can take up to an hour for ads to appear on the page. See our code implementation guide for more details.
